Dr. G.S. Sood, President, is  a PhD  in capital markets from Delhi School of Economics and specialises in areas such as financial markets, financial services, investment banking, investment analysis and capital markets. He is at present Reader in the Department of Commerce at Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College, University of Delhi. He has produced, anchored and participated in a number of programmes on various television channels on matters relating to investment analysis, investors’ education and other current business developments. He has been part of visiting faculty at almost all the premier management institutes in and around Delhi since 1994. With vast research experience, he has to his credit over 30 research papers and articles published in Refereed Journals, leading financial newspapers and magazines. His write-ups on matters concerning problems of investors and consumers appear regularly in The Economic Times.    

Dr. Sanjay Sehgal, Vice-President, is a PhD in finance from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi and has done his post-doctoral research on multi-factor asset pricing from London School of Economics. He is at present Professor and Head, Department of Financial Studies, University of Delhi, South Campus. He has teaching experience of about 19 years in the field of investment management and corporate finance. He has written one research book and two major research projects on Mutual Funds and Asset Pricing funded by UGC, Government of India. He has written 38 research papers published in refereed national and international finance journals. He is also on the editorial board of several finance journals. He has taught courses in investment management and corporate finance at London School of Economics during his tenure there. He is part of visiting faculty in investment management area at CFA (USA), ESC-PAU (France) and NIFM (India). He has also designed, coordinated and acted as resource person for several management development programmes for institutions such as ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Stock Holding Corporation of India, Project and Equipment Corporation, Power Finance Corporation, etc.  He has twelve doctoral students out of which four have already been awarded PhD degrees.

Narendra Kumar, Secretary, is a senior bureaucrat and at present Secretary-cum-Commissioner (Industries), Delhi Government. He is an alumnus of University of Delhi with graduation in commerce. He was a senior officer in the State Bank of India, the largest public sector bank of the country, before getting selected for the Civil Services in 1988 when he secured the second position. He has held important positions, including Secretary, Revenue and Divisional-cum-Development Commissioner of Delhi Government, Secretary and Commissioner, Labour (Delhi Government), Excise, Entertainment and Luxury Tax Commissioner (Delhi Government), Joint Secretary, Finance (Delhi Government), Director of Industries and Rural Development (Government of Arunachal Pradesh). He is a die-hard reformist and is known for his forthright and honest approach towards problems facing the common man. The reforms initiated by him as Labour Commissioner, Excise Commissioner and Secretary, Revenue have been widely acclaimed and will be an example for the future generation of bureaucrats and Corporate Executives. He very keenly follows developments in the capital market, and is gifted with insight into the intricacies of the market.  

Anil Tyagi, Treasurer, is a senior journalist of national repute with vast experience of over 25 years in both print and electronic media. A law graduate and post-graduate in commerce from University of Delhi, he is at present working as Editor, gfiles – a first-of-its-kind magazine devoted to the Indian bureaucracy. He was Political Editor, Jain Television, from 1998 to 2004. Before that, he worked with leading media houses such as Ananda Bazar Patrika and Delhi Press. He has produced, directed and anchored over 1000 programmes on subjects as diverse as current affairs, elections, business and finance including live discussions on Budget, international affairs and so on.

Satish Gupta, Joint Secretary, is the Director General of Institute of Management Education, a leading educational institution in north India imparting education in the field of IT, management and law. He has over 23 years of experience and has worked with reputed companies like Maharashtra Seamless Ltd, Federal-Mogul Automotive, USA, etc. in senior positions with exposure in finance, project management and administration. An FCA, FCS and MS (BITS, Pilani), he  is a fellow member of the professional bodies such as ICAI, ICSI and IIA (USA).        

Dr. Arun Lavania, Joint Secretary, is a doctorate in Agriculture Economics from the Indian Agricultural Research Instiute (IARI), Delhi – the country’s premier national institute for agricultural research, education and extension. He has served as technical officer in Afro-Asian Rural Recnstruction Organization. He has long experience of working with a number of voluntary organisations. At present serving as Managing Editor of a renowned English Magazine G-files and also as Editor, Environment in the news website www.indianbuzz.com.
    
Inderjit Badhwar, Executive Member, is an international award-winning author, journalist and television producer. The top posts he has held include Editor, India Today; Executive Producer, TV Today and Sahara TV; Editor-in-Chief; Media Transasia and Gfiles. He worked in the US for 20 years as a journalist for several top news organizations including Jack Anderson whose daily column appeared in 1000 newspapers including the Washington Post; ABC-TV, and Federal Times. He has written several books including a biography of Indira Gandhi. His novel “Chamber of Perfumes” received France’s highest award for a foreign writer. Badhwar holds a Master’s degree in History and Philosophy from Delhi University’s St. Stephen’s College as well as a second Master’s degree in Journalism from New York’s prestigious Columbia University.
       
Alok Ranjan, Executive Member, has over 14 years of work experience in the field of finance and equity research. His last assignment was as a Research Head with Way2wealth Securities before which he was working as a Vice President, Research with First Global. The other organizations Alok has been associated with in the national and international arena include the European Energy Exchange, Germany and the Boston Consulting Group (Frankfurt). Alok has a MBA in Finance from Leipzig Graduate School of Management, Germany and completed his B.Sc (Physics Hons.) from Hindu College, University of Delhi. He is an avid reader and writer and his articles have appeared in many leading national and international newspapers/magazines including the Risk magazine (London), The Economic Times of India and DataQuest.  

Sadia Rehman, Executive Member, is a TV Artist. She has been associated with ETV, ANI and Doordarshan. For ETV she has anchored more than 1300 programmes related to women issues and about 100 cuisine shows. For ANI she has been doing prestigious weekly shows like “Kashmirnama” and “Pakistan Reporter” which are telecasted on Doordarshan. She anchors a large variety of programmes ranging from medieval time architecture to present day music     for DD-Urdu.    

Dr. B.S.Gautam, Executive Member, is a Reader in the Department of Political Science, Deshbandhu Gupta College(Eve), University of Delhi. He has a teaching experience of 20 years and has published a book on “ Cooperatives and Rural Development in India”. He has contributed around 10 articles and research papers and his area of specialisation is Public Administration. He has guided many research sholars for their Ph.d. and M Phil programmes.
